Sailing Courses

Sailing Courses

The sailing school is run by qualified instructors from the Italian Naval League and the Italian Sailing Federation. The boats on which the courses are held are the Optimist, for the youngest, the Laser in singles, the Trident 16, Laser Vago and the Flying Junior in doubles. The courses are generally of a collective nature. Sailing is a sport that is practised in the company of others and is therefore fun!

Young people's course: with group boats and Optimist reserved for the youngest (up to 14 years old), to approach sailing in a fun and instructive way;

  • Basic course: with dinghies for one person (Laser) or two (Trident, Laser Vago or FJ) with lessons during the week (Monday to Friday) or at weekends (2 successive weekends). All the basics of sailing are taught;

  • Improvement course: to improve your sailing skills and get closer to regattas;

  • Customised courses: to meet the needs of new members/students or to fine-tune any shortcomings. Depending on the availability of instructors and boats.
    The courses held at our Section are held by federal instructors with many years of sailing experience and seek to satisfy the desire to approach the sport of sailing or to continue the pre-competitive training of sailors who have already started. All courses take place from late morning or after lunch (1.30 p.m.) until the evening (approx. 6 p.m.) at the S. Croce base for both theory and practice, alternating between theory, practice and fun. In case of bad weather the lessons will be integrated with indoor activities.

What should I bring:

The school provides all pupils with a buoyancy aid jacket and a wetsuit (if necessary and available in size). The pupil should be equipped with appropriate clothing: T-shirt, shorts, water shoes (no flip-flops) or trainers, waterproof jacket or k-way, towel (if necessary for a shower), water bottle and snack if necessary. Swimming skills are required.
